Diagnostic Imaging
At HPVH we have full Xray and Ultrasound facilities all under the one roof.
On occasions we need to investigate a patient further by viewing what is going on inside the body. Radiography (Xrays) and ultrasonography (sound waves) are often used to aid diagnosis and avoid the need for invasive surgery.
Ultrasound, an advanced technique, uses painless sound waves to study the internal organs such as the heart, kidneys bladder or liver.
We regularly take Xrays to confirm such problems as fractured limbs or peform more advanced diagnostics such as contrast radiography to detect intestinal obstruction, bladder blockages or spinal injury.
